Guilt

I know that guilt is just a part of parenthood. I feel guilty most of the time now. Every time I make her lay down in her crib or put her in front of the TV so I can take a shower or eat lunch I feel guilty. Well, I have new guilt this week. I am using a Pampers product called Bibsters. While I know that the disposable diapers I use are a danger to the environment, I still use them. But the Bibsters I bought, well I think they are just evil. So, I am feeling guilty. I am feeling like a huge, wasteful, evil American. But, I love them so much. I don't have to wash out the big chunky food that sticks to her clothes and cloth bibs like glue. I wish Pampers made a line of disposable baby clothes so I never had to do laundry again.

Wow, Daphne's already eating solid food? Or at least, liquified food? Aidan just started a couple of weeks ago. What's she eating?

Hey,

Well, we started Daphne on food last week. She just eats rice cereal that is mostly liquid. She loves eating with a spoon. Mostly I think this is because she is teething and anything she can get into her mouth is ecstasy for her.

I read your blog from yesterday. Your day sounds very similar to mine. We are experiencing bottle rejection from time to time now. She never used to reject it before. I think she is exhibiting signs of her independent spirit. She is testing us (especially Jack) to see how long we will hold out before letting her nurse.

Good luck with the whole stay-at-home parent experience. It is both wonderful and tedious. Try to get out at least once a day so you don't go insane. You know it has gotten really bad when going out to the mailbox is the highlight of your afternoon.
