Teething

Does anyone reading this have any advice for teething? Most of what I have read says to use teethers and such, but Daphne won't take a teether or a pacifier. I have tried having her chew on a cold, wet washcloth and this seems to work for a minute. She gets so angry and I don't know how to soothe her. If you know any good remedies please respond by e-mail or in the comment area.

Ken Clinkenbeard:

Frozen waffles may work when you trust her to eat something like that.

Thanks for the suggestion. We tried that last night, but it just pissed her off more. :)

One of the books I read said that gently pressing your (clean) finger against the baby's gums may help, but that the baby will get angry for a while before she accepts the pressure on her gums and starts to feel relief. Maybe fingers and teethers and waffles and such are all equally effective, and we just haven't persevered past Daphne's initial outrage at having stuff shoved into her aching mouth.

Anyone know where I can find more information?
