pity party

I’ll note in passing that of the movies I’d like to see that I listed back in June, 9 have come out. I have managed to see exactly 1 (one) of those: Ratatouille. Daphne was only moderately impressed.

It would appear to be too late for Harry Potter, and of course Spider-Man 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean are long gone.

We really need to work harder at finding babysitters. Or even making any kind of effort at finding babysitters, for that matter.

‘Course, with school starting and Holly still being sick and 6 kinds of hell at work, I need to work on sleeping more, rather than seeing more movies.

Ok, whine completed.

the ethics of semi-consciousness

August 23rd, 2007 at 11:42 pm (work)

Here’s how mind-numbingly tired I was today: not once, but twice, I caught myself looking at a female colleague’s chest instead of her face during conversation. Two different female colleagues, I mean.

I’m usually pretty good at keeping a lid on that sort of caveman behavior (or at least I think I am). Apparently an older and less socially conscious part of the brain takes over when you’re so completely exhausted.

Embarassing! There isn’t even a way to apologize for that, not without making it worse (”hey, sorry I was staring at your cleavage, there. Oops!”)
